This year Indian car market recorded a slowdown and most of the car makers are experiencing difficult times in India due to low sales figures. Despite of sluggish growth due to rising interest rates and fuel costs, Nissan Motor India Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Japanese auto giant, have sold around 2688 units in November 2011 which is a 149 per cent increase compare to similar time span last year.

Nissan Sunny plays an important role in this increase. The launch of the mid sized sedan Sunny accounted for a remarkable figure of 1131 units of the sales of Nissan India in November. Company has already received over 3130 bookings of Nissan Sunny by the end of November since its launch in September this year. The other cars which helps Nissan Sunny to achieve this massive target in November was its hatchback the Micra. Company manages to sell around 1514 units of Micra in the last month which is a striking 47 per cent increase in sales as compared to the same period last year. Rest of the offerings which includes the X-TRAIL, Teana and the 370Z sports car accounted for the rest of the 44 units sold. Nissan India has over 47 dealerships and outlets across the nation and customers can account round the clock assistance along with service centers for the Nissan India sold in India.

Due to high interest rate and depreciation of Rupees value in compared to Dollar and Euro most of the companies announces their share of price hike. Nissan India also has announced its share of price hike on its two top selling cars Sunny sedan and Micra hatch. The petrol versions of the two will see a price hike of 2 per cent from January. Company has launched Nissan Sunny diesel in two of its variants in India. Nissan Sunny price for the base XL and XV diesel variants is tagged at a smart price of Rs 7.98 lakh and Rs 8.78 lakh respectively.For upcoming auto expo Nissan announces its plans and company is going to display Nissan Leaf EV, the fully electric car, Nissan NV 200 Multi purpose vehicle and Nissan GT-R sports car “with the fame of the Nurburging race in Germany”. NV 200 is basically unveil for the commercial business in India such as Hotel business.
